The Essenze di Luce Menhirs are the innovative series of lighting and sound diffusion products created to furnish and make functional the outdoors of private homes, resorts, hotels, restaurants, parks and public spaces.

Made for open-air use, the Menhirs integrate a lighting system with low-consumption led technology and/or a high-fidelity sound diffusion system. Thanks to the stone’s natural design and resistance characteristics, they can be perfectly integrated into any architectural context and are designed to withstand the most adverse weather conditions.

THE LIGHTING SYSTEM

SMART DESIGN

The construction system of the Menhir is the result of a long simplification study to make the product functional and to maximise its clean design.

The structure consists of a steel bearing axis positioned at the vertical centre of the stone block and a light ring that uses LED technology and is inserted in the axis itself between the stone layers. The Aisi316 L stainless steel ring is resin-coated with a special compound that makes it completely waterproof. The structural strength of the ring is such that it supports the weight of the stone layers resting on it, thus ensuring the minimal and natural aesthetics of the product.

Energy saving, luminous efficiency, minimal maintenance and state-of-the-art materials to withstand even the most extreme temperatures.

THE COLOUR OF LIGHT

The LED’s colour temperature of 3,500°K gives rise to a light colour that lies somewhere between sunlight and moonlight, perfect for enhancing the surrounding natural colours and creating cosy, perfectly integrated outdoor environments.

THE AUDIO SYSTEM

A two-year long journey of research, development and product testing to meet our greatest challenge: to create an outdoor audio speaker made of natural stone capable of transmitting accurate, powerful, high-quality sound through a section just 17 mm high.

By combining sound engineers and stone specialists, we have created a unique audio speaker that preserves the aesthetic beauty of natural stone craftsmanship, the best of audio technology, unparalleled design and can be used outdoors with very low maintenance.

The sound system in Aisi316 L stainless steel, designed and manufactured in Italy, together with the neodymium loudspeaker with tropicalised membranes, are capable of expressing the best in sound performance combined with extremely high resistance to external agents such as water splashes, sand, insects, etc.

An acoustic lens that, alone or combined with a woofer, allows omnidirectional, crystal-clear and high-fidelity sound reproduction, manageable directly from a smartphone, as no other loudspeaker in the world can do.

Each Menhir is unique by definition: all our products are handmade in Italy respecting the essence of the stone, which is selected piece by piece from all over the world, and is marked with a serial number to sign the uniqueness and identity of each individual Menhir.
